Will Jiu Jitsu Teach My Child To Be Hostile And Aggressive?
Absolutely not. Children learn a lot about what it means to be respectful and polite here. As a result, children who weren't violent in the first place become even more respectful and kind. Children with behavior problems often become very respectful and calm.
Can My Child Get Injured While Training Jiu Jitsu?
As a parent, I'm sure you've seen that children can get injured doing just about anything. Martial Arts is no different, however we take safety very seriously here. Yes, injuries do sometimes happen. But we do everything in our power to avoid them such as stretching and teaching them how to fall properly.
Can My Child Do Jiu Jitsu If They Are Not The Athletic Type?
Yes! In fact, martial arts is often a “home” for children who don't excel at team sports. And it's okay if your child is not athletic right now. Through our classes, they'll get in great shape and become much more athletic.
Do Children Enjoy Jiu Jitsu? Do They Stick With It For A While?
Children have a blast here. There's smiling and laughter throughout every class. We have our moments of intense concentration and focus... but we always balance things out with fun and games to keep everything alive and light.
Will Jiu Jitsu Improve My Child's Confidence?
Yes! Martial Arts is a powerful source of confidence. They practice hard and learn techniques in order to advance through the ranks. And as they advance, they beam with pride. After all, they're the ones doing all the work - so they feel all of the accomplishment whenever they learn a new move... achieve a new belt... or get praise from their fellow students and instructors.
What Ages Are Children Allowed To Train?
We have classes for children as young as 3. Please view our class schedule to find the program that's most appropriate for you.
Is Jiu Jitsu For Boys AND Girls?
